Wind tunnels in different countries needed one booking system that handles different taxes, currencies, time zones and payment methods.

A customer portal for bookings, gift cards and flight videos, plus admin tools for managing working hours, payments and accounting data.

About the project

AERODIUM is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of vertical wind tunnels. Our system runs the wind tunnels’ day-to-day operations.

Customers can:

  • make bookings,
  • buy gift cards,
  • watch and buy the video of their flight.

Wind tunnel staff can:

  • manage bookings,
  • plan working hours,
  • administer payments,
  • prepare the information accounting needs more easily.

Flight videos are recorded automatically, and customers can buy and download them.

Technology and challenges

The system is built with the Laravel framework and the Laravel Nova admin panel; the virtual environment is managed with Docker.

The wind tunnels are located in different countries, so each country has its own settings: taxes and how they are calculated, currency, time zone, the most popular payment methods, payment providers and how their fees are calculated.

In 2023 the Aerodium wind tunnel in Slovenia joined the system — in addition to Latvia and Ukraine.
