What is LIAA digitalisation support?

Short answer

In LIAA’s (Investment and Development Agency of Latvia) digitalisation programmes, companies could receive a grant for introducing digital solutions. In the latest round in 2025, grants of up to 10,000 euros were available for digital solutions and up to 200,000 euros for artificial intelligence solutions. Applications for this round closed on 7 November 2025.

The programme “Support for process digitalisation and artificial intelligence solutions”

  • Applications: from 21 July to 7 November 2025.
  • Grants: up to EUR 10,000 for digital solutions; up to EUR 200,000 for developing and introducing artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Who for: micro, small and medium-sized companies, farms, cooperatives, small and mid-cap companies, as well as associations and foundations with economic activity that bring together at least three companies.
  • Funding: EUR 18.55 million was available, while applications requested EUR 25.5 million — demand exceeded the available funds.
  • Project implementation: until 31 May 2029.

The previous programme

In 2023 LIAA launched a programme with grants of up to EUR 100,000 for developing and introducing digital products, services and processes. Before applying, companies had to take a digital maturity test at a European Digital Innovation Hub — see what is a digital maturity assessment.

What it means now

LIAA states that a renewal of the digitalisation programme is not planned at present. But demand was high, and new programmes may appear — so it’s worth preparing your project in good time. See is the LIAA programme open right now and how to finance digitalisation when programmes are closed.
